I thought I should give an update on how I’m doing for the 2015 Book Challenge. So this week instead of recommending books I’m showing you where I’m at. I’ve filled in more spaces, and I obviously have some work to do before the end of the year!
To date I’ve read 127 books, but obviously I’m missing some specific categories.

Are you doing any challenges in your reading this year?
That is quite a challenge! This year, I challenged myself to read at least 6 books about Robin Hood, but I’m failing woefully. I’ve read 3 so far, though one of them I only read part of. I’m working on a 4th, but I suspect I’m not going to read two more besides it by the end of the year. Oh well.
I’m also working on my Classics Club challenge still 🙂 I’m more than halfway done, and I began it at the beginning of 2014, so I’m pretty pleased with my progress.

It’s always good to have goals. I find I accomplish more when I do, and the feeling of accomplishment when you reach your goal is wonderful. I also think as mothers it helps to take us out of the place where we are doing the same things every day for and with our children. We don’t always see immediate results which can be discouraging. Having something on the side that’s a little easier to accomplish than say potty training can be an emotional mood lifter. 🙂

Yeeeeeeeeah, Potty Training is Evil. I’m so happy that’s behind me for a third time.
This is why I love lists of things to do — I get a mood-lift from crossing stuff off.

A mood lift – that is why I often include obvious things like drink water and take supplements, make my bed and do laundry. I know I’ll have a few things at least that get crossed off my list. 🙂
