We’re not having our normal Friday post today because I have a giveaway!
For the last couple of years I’ve been seeing a hair product on various blogs that interested me. They are from a company called Lilla Rose and are called Flexi Clips. Everyone claims that they hold any kind of hair in place – thick, long, fine.
So when Linda Sears, who is an Independent Consultant with the company, offered for me to try a couple of the clips in exchange for doing a review here, I jumped at the chance. Linda asked us to choose a size and style. Let’s just say that choosing a size was much easier than a style. There are so many beautiful clips to choose from. For size we settled on a medium and a mini. Now we’re ready to get a couple of more sizes!
Even the packaging was pretty. The outer mailing envelope was white and purple – very girly. The inner envelope that held the clips looked pretty too and just made me feel so feminine getting such a pretty package.
The clips themselves are beautiful. Just opening up the package was an experience. Then we started playing with the clips and I knew the reports I had read on more than one blog were true – these are wonderful clips. They are beautiful AND easy to use.
The thing we love the most about them is how well they grip your hair without hurting your scalp or damaging your hair. My second daughter has very fine hair. We did a French twist and secured it with the medium clip. It held so well.
My oldest daughter wore hers on a four-mile walk. It was fairly windy that day, but her hair looked as good when we ended as when we started.
They are very easy to use. My youngest daughter likes to add the mini clip to her pull through as decoration.
We also did a half-up pony with the mini. It held her hair nicely.
The website also has an easy-to-understand chart for figuring out which size will work best in your hair. There are lots of video tutorials on YouTube to give you endless ideas for your using them in your hair.
Lilla Rose has more than just clips. They also have hair bands and sticks, bobby pins and you-pins. I want to get some bobby pins for myself.
Linda has agreed to give one of these Flexi Clips to one of my readers. It is in size small.
This contest is open to the United States and Canada. The only thing you need to do is to go to her website at http://www.lillarose.biz/ApronStrings and leave a comment naming which you think is the prettiest clip. Then I will use a random line generator to pick a winner. You can also find Linda on Facebook at LillaRoseApronStrings. The contest will end next Friday, May 29th.

The girls and I all agree that the dolphin clip with the blue stones is the prettiest although they probably could easily have spent a couple hundred dollars on all the clips they liked! lol…they’re all gorgeous

…but I want to add that it is hard to decide on one of the three most unique ones: the one with the fan, the ruby bouguet and the colours on parade. The dusky plum one is nice too. I think I would choose the ruby bouguet.

It is hard to decide because they are all pretty. The prettiest are the flexi clips, like the roman stone, Celtic knots and Daisy. Perfect for this coming summer!
