We’ve had a pretty good summer, and now we’ve already finished four weeks of school! School is going so much better this year. I’m planning on writing a post to tell you what we’re doing because it might help you too. 🙂
In the past two weeks I’ve learned to make yogurt (something I always failed at before), apple cider, and sauerkraut (the juries still out on whether or not we like it).

We harvested some of our potatoes and are enjoying them. Our cabbages and onions will hopefully be ready soon, and we’ve been eating the tomatoes as they ripen. My youngest, Jonah, is thrilled with all of this gardening.

Micah helped me to begin preparing a small plot about 2 1/2 feet square for planting garlic this fall. This has been on my bucket list of things to try for quite a while.

I’ve been working on getting through my summer to do list and hope to share soon how I’ve done with that.
I would appreciate your prayers as we come up to the three year anniversary of my husband’s death. The past few weeks have been a bit of an emotional roller coaster as so many memories have flooded my mind of what we were doing just three short years ago – and yet it feels like a lifetime.
You probably know someone who is grieving. I wrote this post a few months into widowhood to help people know how to help the grieving.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful week/summer and a wonderful day in church tomorrow.
