Simple Living 8

In some ways I feel like this week has been anything but simple. I have been crazy busy every day. Some days I get to the end of the day and feel like I’ve hardly even seen my younger boys that day.

That being said, it has been a productive week. One big check off my to do list was getting a violin for my youngest daughter. We had to drive a small distance, but driving in the car with your teenager and having a good, undisturbed talk can be one of the most awesome things ever.

I’m also moving so much closer to being finished Micah’s quilt. I’m up to having it sandwiched and ready to quilt. This is where it gets really exciting because the finish line is in sight. Just a few more steps and Micah will have his new quilt. Of course, those few steps will still take several hours. In the grand scheme of things though – we’re close!

I was delighted to find some tomatoes on my tomato plants. It’s so exciting! We also have raspberries in our backyard. There are never enough ripe all at once to make anything with, but they’re a fun snack. A handful every day or two.

This is a variety called Tiny Tim. Right now they’re about the size of a pea, and the plant is covered in them. They’re the cutest tomatoes I’ve ever seen.

One of my cabbages. Two are doing quite well. The other three are a bit on the runty side. πŸ™‚

That’s about it for the interesting highlights of my week. I hope you had a good week too.
