Just a Closer Walk With Thee is a traditional hymn that is also a beautiful prayer for those feeling overwhelmed by life. When we can acknowledge our weakness then God is able to work in and through us.

My thoughts on each verse:

1 – To be satisfied with only Jesus and to daily walk close to Him should be the plea of every Christian.

2 – We know that each of us have our own burdens, and sometimes only the Lord knows what those specific burdens are. Why? Because He alone can meet our needs. Some needs go beyond the help of any earthly friend.

3 – I have seen just how gently God can guide one of His beloved children home to Himself.

I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;

As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
