Friday File 75

No sewing this week (insert sad face), but I was able to get in on a big sale at my local fabric store. That means I have enough fabric for several projects. Enough to keep me busy for several weeks!

Healthy Simplicity
Look at all those pretty colours!

Our family had two firsts this week. First, our oldest son, who now has his driver’s license, drove some of his siblings into town on errands, and they brought home some ice cream! How sweet is that! Secondly, this same son started his first job outside of the home. This is the job he has been praying for for weeks – working at a tree farm.

I loved this blog post because this is something I enjoy doing – seeing how far my children have come. Recently this happened when I asked them to share a favourite verse and why it was special to them. Times like that are some of the memories that I highly treasure. Sometimes it’s hard in the nitty-gritty of daily living it’s hard to see how much your children are maturing.

My favourite cake flavour. I really need to make this.

I like the simplicity of this handmade card.

Card of the Week: It’s Your Day

There are some really interesting subject packs (free printables) that would be fun to use in or out of school. I’m going to let my middle son pick one to work on.

Since I’m trying to be more serious about doing the Trim Healthy Mama diet I’ve been looking at more recipes online. This one caught my eye because it’s peanut butter, and because I think I could add some chocolate to it and have a chocolate/peanut butter milkshake – my favourite flavour combination.

My husband was back to work again this week, and life felt almost normal. School is finally going smoothly after a rough few months, and the weather is warming up. It’s feeling like spring and being close to summer and finished school for another year and bike rides and picnics and hikes. How about you?
