Uggh. I woke up feeling sick with whatever it is that’s going around our house – headache, fatigue and just general achiness. I pushed through my chore list as long as possible but finally had to go to bed. Now it’s almost bedtime, and I’m starting to feel better so I’m going to try to get this post finished.
I didn’t do much sewing this week. More organizing of what I want to sew this spring and summer. I’m getting excited to do some of it.
I did however do this little pillowcase dress. It was such a fast, easy and fun project. I can hardly wait to see it on the sweet baby I made it for.

We had another birthday in our house this week. I canNOT believe that Ezra is fifteen already. Why can’t they stay babies just a bit longer? Ezra was one of the cutest babies ever! He was always smiley and easy going. It feels like the last fifteen years have gone by in a flash. If you want to read his birth story, you can find it here. I love to tease him because I had to wait the longest for him – nine days overdue! He just gives me his sweet smile and rolls his eyes about his silly mom. Ezra has the sweetest personality of anyone I know, and I’m so proud to be his mom.

I love this post that reminds us that dressing up and looking nice at home is as important as dressing up to go out.
Recently a well-known Christian blogger died in a house fire along with her husband and two youngest children. It was so devastatingly sad. I could hardly believe it the night the news came up in my Facebook feed. I only knew Mandy through her blog, but I loved her heart for the Lord and desire to encourage wives and mothers to make their homes an expression of worship. Her mother recently posted her thoughts on Mandy’s life and death. If you don’t click any other link, read this one.
This is something I’m going to make for my son for his birthday. I’ve wanted to try making a man’s tie for a long time now.

This is just for fun. I’m so glad I play the piano because my brain needs all the help it can get!

I hope you all have had a good week and an even better one next week.
