In Times Like These

I think it goes without saying that there is never a time when we don’t need Jesus. However, there do seem to be times when the need is more in our face than at other times. I would say these days the need is in our face. Daily I see no way forward except by the Lord’s help.

The world is changing so fast around us and generally not for the better. I think the words to this song speak for themselves.

In times like these, we need a Savior
In times like these, we need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

Chorus:
This Rock is Jesus, Yes, He’s the one
This Rock is Jesus, The only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

In times like these oh be not idle
In times like these we need the Bible
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

In times like these, I have a Savior
In times like these, I have an anchor
I’m very sure, I’m very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock

      1. This is a favourite saying of Hugo’s. As he explained it to me, basically the “mixer” after the apocalypse is when we’re all together in the millennium. I hope that makes sense.

I’ve been wondering esp since he had said something about seeing his dad there….was his dad a christian?
Seems like we could just say – see you in heaven 🙂

Gotcha! 🙂 Hadn’t been able to figure that out lol….I think we have more songs, etc written on heaven than the Millennium so we don’t talk about that as much…gonna be fun to be all together – reigning with Christ and perfect…..no more sin for us!
