I started off this week by helping my middle daughter sew a skirt for herself. She wanted white fabric – brave girl. It was a very simple pattern just a front and back and an elastic waist. She finished it in one day and did a great job.
I made another clutch this week. This time one to match a dress I made earlier this summer for my oldest daughter. I took notes and pictures along the way so I could do a post on how to make one.

I was also able to do some scrapbooking – a great hot-weather activity because there’s not a lot of movement.
This is an amazing read about what one politician thought of the role of mothers in 1905. A huge difference from what we see today.
I like this idea of mixing legos and nerf – two big items in our home.
This is a cute idea for a skirt.
I love chicken fried rice so I’d like to try this low-carb version.
That’s all for this week. Stay cool and enjoy your summer.
Thank you so much for mentioning my patchwork skirt tutorial!! I appreciate it!
