Library Time 86

Wow! I just checked and it’s been about a month since I did a “library” post. This isn’t going to be a typical one. I thought that five months in, I should update how I’m doing on the 2016 Reading Challenge.

Almost half way through the year and I only have about 20% of the categories filled in. Admittedly I only started consciously choosing books for the different categories about two weeks ago. There are a few categories that I still have no idea what I’m going to read for them. Anyway, here’s where I’m at…

based on a fairy tale
National Book Award winner
YA bestseller Wonder
haven’t read since high school
set in your home state
translated to English The Three Musketeers
romance set in the future The Selection
set in Europe Defy the Night
under 150 pages
New York Times bestseller
becoming a movie this year
recommended by someone you just met Nero Wolfe (more than 1)
self-improvement book
can finish in a day
written by a celebrity I’d Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had by Tony Danza
political memoir
at least 100 years older than you
more than 600 pages
from Oprah’s Book Club
Science-fiction novel
recommended by a family member Shane
graphic novel
published in 2016
with a protagonist who has your occupation
takes place during Summer Her Prairie Knight
book and its prequel Divergent and Four
murder mystery Nickel Package
written by a comedian
dystopian novel
with a blue cover
first book you see in a bookstore
classic from the 20th century
from the library Violins of Autumn
autobiography
about a road trip
about a culture you are unfamiliar with
satirical book
takes place on an island
guaranted to bring you joy

Have you ever done a reading challenge? They can be a lot of fun. This is my second year, and I know I’ve been pushed out of my comfort zone and read a lot of books that I enjoyed which I may not have otherwise read.
