Friday File 46

So the sore throat that I had last week has been passed along to all of my children. We’ve had a quiet week doing what school work we could and getting ready for friends this weekend. We don’t often get to visit with these friends so we’re hoping to all be healthy by the time they arrive.

I’ve always tried to look nice even if I’m staying at home all day. My children have to be with me, and I don’t want them to see a frumpy mom who stays in her pjs all day. It also makes me more productive to get dressed for the day as if I had a job outside my home.

Why Every Homemaker Should Dress For the Job She Wants

I grew up in a home where my mom spoiled my dad every day. I can see that it certainly hasn’t hurt their marriage. I’m striving to do the same for my husband.

I love lapbooking, and this post gives you some ideas for doing a whole course for a year in a spiral notebook.

If you’re looking for an easy gift for your child this season, this one looks super easy and fun. I think we’re going to make a few here to give away.

Here’s another gift idea. This one is for the girly-girl in your life. I’ve made a lot of these. It’s a good way to use up your fabric stash, and what lady doesn’t like pretty hangers in her closet?

My New Model…

I’m hoping to be able to report next week that we’re all better, and that we’ve got a good start on our gifts. Eight children times seven siblings each plus parents and grandparents is a lot of gifts to make!
