Friday File 42

My two youngest daughters and I started a fleece quilt this week. I had mountains (almost literally) of leftover fleece from numerous projects. I cut it all into five inch squares, and they started sewing nine-patch squares. Fleece is such an easy fabric for a beginner sewist to work with.

When I saw this post I definitely wished that we hadn’t had Thanksgiving already. There are a lot of great ideas in this post for edible decorations. I pinned it so I can have the ideas for next year. I love the Mayflowers – don’t know what my family would think about using bread for a plate.

Edible Thanksgiving Table Decor

I love the things this mom does with her children. I’ve thought of doing a menu on a white board because I get tired of answering the question, “What’s for supper?” several different time. Her idea expands on this though with an entire day’s schedule.

Perfect Mexican Rice

I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to get my daughter to make these for me – if only I weren’t trying to lose wait. Sigh.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter Frosting

I’ve had a hard time since school started finding my rhythm for blogging. Hopefully I’m getting past that because I have some things I really want to share like how we’re making a quilt from fleece. ☺

How was your week? Any new projects?
