This week I’m sharing two projects that I recently completed!
First, here’s a couple of pictures of my very first pair of hand-knitted socks. I’ve always wanted to know how to knit socks and now I do. Big happy sigh. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve already started a second pair.

The second project is my sock rug. You can look at this post to see how I started it. I’m so happy that my girls have a warm rug to stand on when they get dressed on these cold mornings.

I enjoyed this post. This is the way my mom raised my sisters and I – to keep things simple. Simple doesn’t have to mean ugly or plain, and this post really shows that.
We like trying new hair styles. The nice thing about braids is that they look good on little and big girls alike.
We have a friend who’s been in the hospital for quite a while and not likely to come out soon. I found this card on Pinterest. There are no instructions for making it, but I think I can figure it out. ☺

Recently I took all of the bag, purse, tote, etc. pins off my Sewing board and gave them a board of your own. So, if you’re like me and enjoy sewing your own bags check out this board.
So – do you like sewing purses and bags? http://static.parsely.com/code/ptrack-v0.4.5.js

Oh! These are amazing!
I’m busy seeking out old socks, to try the rug project. I threw out so many, I may have to ask my church family for donations :))
I really like the hand knit socks. My mom, always darned our socks. I will definitely look for a sock pattern. We have so many boys in my family, who would each love a pair of hand knit socks.
Thanks, Jen, you have inspired me!

You’re welcome. The rug and knitting socks were both fun.
