Library Time 68

A slightly different format this week. I just don’t have the energy to find out what all of my children have been reading. The heat we’ve been “enjoying” has really drained me of all ambition. The little boys and I have been enjoying our books from the library which included some “Corduroy” books, Little Polar Bear and Carl the babysitting dog.

I have found a new author – Georgette Heyer. She is credited with creating the historical romance genre of books with emphasis on the Regency era. Lovers of Jane Austen will enjoy reading her books which are highly researched to make sure they are true to the era.

So far I have only read one book – Powder and Patch. I found it to be a light-hearted, clean romance and look forward to reading more of her books.

My daughter did a “vlog” this week on her blog about the books she has bought or been given recently. I thought you might enjoy watching it.

How has your reading or book buying been this week?

Stef loves “Corduroy” and put a book of him on hold at the library :). She even got over her shyness and asked the library lady for helping doing that all by herself :).
I just “bought” a free Kindle book on Amazon written by Georgette Heyer so I can check her out 🙂
