We’ve had a good week. I’ve been able to start doing things from my summer list. Today I started working on the order for our school books, and I tried a simple cheese recipe. I’ve also spent time outside with my children, and we spent a day visiting family. I also had my youngest daughter get out the loom we bought for her a couple of months ago, and we started to learn how to weave – another life goal I have.

Here’s the recipe I used for the cheese. It’s very simple, but I thought in my cheese making journey I should start with simple. I just used store-bought milk because that’s what I have. It turned out great. Next time I want to experiment with some herbs and/or nuts.

I tried this chicken recipe this week. I wanted to cook a whole chicken in my crock pot outside so the house wouldn’t get heated up. The problem is I’ve never been able to do this and have the chicken come out with any flavour. Never that is until now. This recipe is so good. My children demolished the chicken.
