I feel like this week has gone by so quickly and yet we didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. Today I made our menu for the next four weeks, and my husband did the shopping. It feels so good to have that finished for another month. Now we’ll just need to go to the store to quickly pick up some dairy products and produce once a week.
This is an interesting list. It will give you something to think about.
7 Things to Keep When Money is Tight
I know I’ve been guilty of getting so caught up with my technology that I get cranky with my children. This article has inspired me to remember that my children are far more important than anything I’m doing on the computer/phone.

I love this idea of taking one sweater and making several items from it. Talk about frugal. This pillow would be super easy to make and cute to look at.

Something to Think About…A Few Ways to Enjoy Homemaking
I found a neat channel on YouTube – GoPro. They have tons of videos on all different subjects, but the ones that interest us are the animal ones. Most are less than five minutes so if I need a few minutes of peace I can play two or three of these and the children love them.
How was your week?
love reading your Friday Files! I also love that feeling of satisfaction (and relief) after working out my my monthly menu. Thank you for the reminder to leave technology be for the sake of my children, and for the tips on reusing sweaters – love it!

Enjoyed the article on homekeeping – I like keeping things simple and homemade. I’m going to endeavor to keep a list of things we want/need (like storage ideas and duck kennels – Pierre has said Em could get ducks – and used books).
I have started to take frequent breaks from one project to move to another – ie if I’m sewing then stop and fold laundry or vice versa or go on the computer and do some “paperwork”. As you know, we were raised to do our chores before reading which works well when you’re a kid but not so much when you’re a mom π
Jon has a GoPro camera from his uncle Paul and he loves it – my kids would probably like watching those animals.

So far he has used it when skiing and he did take a couple of cool underwater videos when he snorkled in the Philippines with his uncles. He had us send it to him or got it when he was home at Christmastime so not sure if he has used it there π
