This week I haven’t had a lot of time to read because I’ve been organizing our basement. I did however find another place where you can get free or cheap ebooks – BookBub. There’s a lot that just doesn’t interest me, but about once a week I find a book I’m interested in. I never thought I would enjoy my Kindle so much. It’s one of those things that you didn’t know how much you needed/wanted it until you had it.
On to the rest of the family…
16-year-old daughter – Mockingbird: A Portrait of Harper Lee by Charles J. Fields
14-year-old son – Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
12-year-old son – The Deadly Curse of Toko-Rey by Frank Perretti. If your children enjoy adventure/thriller books, my children highly recommend the Cooper Kids series.
11-year-old daughter – Combat! fan fiction – don’t ask
9-year-old daughter – Winner Bakes All: The Cupcake Club by Carrie Berk
7-year-old son – The Story about Ping by Marjorie Flack. We’re going to study this book next week in school. I’ll let you know how that goes.
3 and 2-year-old sons – Pooh and Friends : First Look & Find
Did you read any good books this week?
I was recommended “Bookbub” a few months ago and I like it. There is also “Midlist”. I scan the two every day (I have my “preferences” emailed to me). I get good books from time to time for the girls, too.
I got Stef a “princess” find book. I like that you can grab that kind of book for a quick cuddle and make a game out of it :). Does Jonah find things yet?
I was in the nursery yesterday for SS because of the snowstorm and many of the older folks couldn’t get out and I had a blast reading to the kids. It was Natalie’s three youngest who are ages 9 months, 2 and 2 (not twins just almost lol). I acted like my silly goofy self (not that Ethan and Jonah would know anything about that). Thankfully, they have a silly, goofy dad so it was nothing unusual for them :).

Yes, Jonah likes to find things. In fact, even is it’s a storybook not a “find” book he’s still constantly pointing out things in the pictures. 🙂

I love that you shared what everyone was reading in the family. That’s a neat way of doing it. I see that many of them have similar interests too.

It’s fun when a lot of us read the same books and then we can discuss them. I do these lists to give ideas to other families. We are always looking for new books to read so I figure other families are too. 🙂
