Friday File 9

Healthy Simplicity - Friday File

I meant to get this out earlier today, but I had chiropractor appointments for all of our children plus me. Then we came home and watched an old black and white movie – so nice that my girls are into those now. Then I had to pick my husband up from work, and we had to go to the mall to get some shopping done. I hate shopping. My husband loves it. If it means a time with my husband then I can tolerate it. Otherwise, I’m more than happy to leave the shopping to him.

I read so many good things this week. It was hard to limit myself to just a few posts. Here they are in no particular order.

I’ve been making my own bread for years now. I could even say decades. ☺ I’ve always puzzled over the best way to store it, but now I know. I have the perfect bread box already. I’m glad to know I can just set the loaves in there and be done with it.

I’m always in favour of keeping things simple. One thing that really spoke to me in this article was to slow down and enjoy the present task. Usually my mind is racing to the next several things I have to do. I also felt inspired to try to start taking more walks – even in the winter.

I don’t appreciate when I’m referred to as “just” a stay-at-home mom. There is so much more involved in being a stay-at-home mom than just staying home. This is a great article.

I have come to realize that I AM THE stay – at – home mom but I’m also the woman and wife who stays at home – in other words I DO STAY AT HOME and I do NOT like to leave.
I have to watch myself that I don’t get into a rut just always being at home ;).
I think we should ask others “what DO you do all day at work” hahaha.
