Friday File 4

Healthy Simplicity - Friday File

Another busy week. I made a skirt for my middle daughter and fleece overalls for my baby. They make him so much more squishy, huggable and cute. πŸ™‚ I did my own thing and add ribbing around the ankles to make cuffs. It turned out great. Check him out…

Healthy Simplicity

I sent this article to my oldest daughter. I really like #3 and #6. Preparing for marriage is one of the most important things we can teach our children.

7 Things I Wish I Had Done Before I Got Married

Who has not been tired as a mom? I never realized how hard mothering would be. This post is so encouraging. And I can identify with this mom – hiding out from her children and being encouraged by them at the same time.

For the Mom Who Feels Weary

I loved this idea when I saw it. My husband and I plan on doing a sheet too. We’re going to sit around our table either New Year’s Eve or Day – haven’t decided yet – and fill them in together. Then we’ll save them with our important papers. I wish we had thought of something like this years ago.

Printable New Year’s Resolutions for Kids 2015

I want to change up my Bible reading time next year, and there are some fantastic ideas in this post.

9 Ways to Study the Bible

This post was so wonderfully written. Why do we have children whether one or two or five or eight?

Why Have More Kids?

And finally, I have watched this three times now and cried every time. Actually, I sobbed through it the first time. It is just. so. beautiful. And I kept thinking if we have this much beauty on earth what will Heaven be like?

What did you read and enjoy on the internet this week?

And we must mention that your nephew is serving in the Air Force that has such a wonderful AF Band :). He actually SAW them at the Smithsonian Museum in D.C. last weekend :).

Good thoughts on the marriage blog although I’m just hoping they don’t date at all! Too much secular humanism in dating, in my humble opinion πŸ™‚

On to studying the Bible :). I have a well-marked Bible – I LOVE the Bible
that I received from Dad and Mom at my high school graduation…well…a couple of years ago LOL and have used it so much that Pierre had it rebound for me a few years ago. To write in my Bible means that I will (hopefully) retain it longer and forever :). I have copious notes from many preachers and from my own reading and I cross-reference a lot πŸ™‚ I love it!

Thanks for sharing all these blogs!

I’m glad you enjoyed what I’ve been reading. My Bible is one Hugo gave me when we got engaged. I’ve dated lots of verses and they bring back memories of why that particular verse was important to me then. One I always love is a verse I marked when I was praying for another baby, and a month or two later I was pregnant with Ezra. πŸ™‚ That one always makes me smile.

I have dates and sermons in my Bible too though I can’t always remember sitting in the service for them :).
        I have a bad memory :).
