Our family was recently involved in a wedding. One of the duets was “God Makes No Mistakes”. As I was the piano accompaniment for this I went through the song many times and the words are so good. (The other song was “To Have and To Hold”. I was so glad I didn’t have to play for it because I sat there bawling my eyes out while it was being sung. Hugo and I have come so far in our marriage, and it just gets better every day.)

Back when I was much younger I had a broken engagement. At the time it was the most difficult thing I had ever lived through. But through it all I was so thankful I could lean on God to make something beautiful of my life instead of the tragedy I was experiencing. Over twenty years later I can so clearly see that my broken engagement was no mistake. God has given me a wonderful husband and eight beautiful children. Something I thank Him for often.

I hope this song will be a blessing to you as it has been the last several days for me as it keeps going through my head over and over. It is such a comfort to trust my life to the One who makes no mistakes and knows what is best for me.
