This has been a cool week – cool enough for socks and sweater – but bright and sunshiny most days. I can handle a summer like this. My garden is loving in. We’ve had just enough rain that I haven’t had to water the garden yet and loads of sunshine.
On a sad note, my Kindle got broken this week. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I turned it on to find out the screen was cracked. So I’m working on a plan for saving up for a new one. In the meantime, my husband has loaned me his Kobo which has a Kindle app. It’s okay for the short term, but it’s heavier than my Kindle and the battery doesn’t last as long. I truly never thought I would love my Kindle so much, but I do and I miss it.
My garden is growing wonderfully. My beans are getting taller and taller. My three zucchini plants look to be on track to give us some good eating. Most happily my watermelons are still growing. They’re still only baby plants, but I don’t think I’ve ever had watermelon make it this far so I’m hopeful. The mint I planted last year is growing fantastically. When it gets a little bigger I’m looking forward to picking leaves to flavour my water.
I’ve been enjoying watching “The Piano Guys” on YouTube. It’s absolutely beautiful piano and cello music with stunning visuals. Everyone’s doing a version of “Let It Go” these days, but The Piano Guys win hands down. Please watch this. I love their passion and joy in the music they create.
What do you enjoy watching to relax?

Sorry your Kindle got broken 😦
